Planner

Paris

Eleven days that meet France at the right hour — Paris before it wakes, the Loire at château pace, the lavender roads of Provence, and a slow finish on the Côte d’Azur. Designed by Camille, our Paris planner, around the two-hour lunch.

Day by day

Days 1–3

Paris, before nine

A small hotel in the Marais. Mornings begin at a boulangerie counter before the city fills; private early entry to one museum before the doors open; a long lunch we build each day around. Evenings: dinners where no menu is in English.

Day 4

Into the Loire

A late-morning train and a private transfer into the Loire Valley. The afternoon is yours in the gardens between the great houses; dinner at the château where you will stay the night.

Days 5–6

Châteaux & vineyards

Slow days among the Loire’s great houses and the vineyards between them. A private cellar lunch with a winemaker, an afternoon cycling the river path, evenings back at the château.

Day 7

South to Provence

A fast train south to Avignon, then a drive into the Luberon. You settle into a stone farmhouse with a long table and a cook who does not measure anything.

Days 8–9

Provence, at market pace

Market mornings in Apt and Gordes, lavender roads in season, hilltop villages with a café in every one. The afternoons are deliberately empty. The point of Provence is the part everyone rushes.

Day 10

To the Côte d’Azur

A coastal drive to old-town Nice. A boat off Cap Ferrat in the afternoon, then a long Mediterranean evening at the water’s edge.

Day 11

A slow last morning

The flower market, a final café, and a private transfer to Nice airport — timed, as ever, so nothing is rushed.
