Hoi An
Vietnam is not one country, it is three. Twelve days, unhurried — north for mist and mountains, centre for craft and coastline, south for the food and the river.
Day by day
Days 1–3
Hanoi
Old Quarter walks, midnight phở, a private cyclo tour with a historian, and the city at the hour it belongs to locals.
Days 4–5
Hạ Long Bay
A two-night private junk through the limestone karsts. Kayaking at dawn, no other boats in sight.
Days 6–8
Hoi An
Tailoring days, lantern-lit dinners, cycling rice paddies at sunrise, and a cooking class by the river.
Days 9–12
Mekong Delta & the south
A river homestay, floating markets, and the best fruit in the world, before a final city night in Saigon.
